Education Provision Report Writing Service

Supportive, professional help to write your Local Authority Education Provision Report.

If you’re educating your child outside of a traditional school setting in England, your Local Authority (LA) may ask you to provide a written report about the education you’re offering. We know this can feel daunting, especially if you’re unsure what to include, or if — like many busy families — you lack the time to dedicate to it.

At Alight, we’re here to help. Our LA Education Provision Report Writing Service will create a well-organised and professional report that reflects your child’s learning and your family’s approach.

Our Approach

Education isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s exactly why we’re here. Some children follow a structured maths and English curriculum, while others learn more effectively through hands-on experiences such as visiting museums or parks. Wherever your child sits, we’ll make sure their way of learning is reflected positively in your Local Authority report.

Present us with the information you want us to include, and we’ll accept the challenge! We’ll take the information you provide and produce a clear report that highlights the value of your child’s home education.

Once you purchase either our Educational Provision Report or Follow-Up Response service, you will receive an email with a link to a form. After you complete and submit the form, we’ll begin preparing your report promptly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Our reports are written to align with Section 7 of the Education Act 1996 and reflect current Local Authority expectations. We will present your report based on the information you provide. We won’t exaggerate or misrepresent your setup.

While our reports are designed to meet general LA expectations and are thorough and clearly presented, every Local Authority is different, and we can’t guarantee acceptance—especially if they feel the educational provision itself is lacking. If you used our full Education Provision Report Writing Service, we’ll handle any follow-up questions from your LA at no extra cost. Otherwise, you can purchase our Follow-Up Response Service separately for £25.

Yes, you can purchase the follow-up service separately. If you bought the full report from us and later need to respond to LA follow-up questions, we’ll provide that follow-up response free of charge. Otherwise, the follow-up service is charged as usual.

Yes. Once delivered, the report is yours. You can adapt, add to, or personalise it further if you’d like. The report is written in the third person and does not name Alight Productions as the author. It presents your child’s education from an outside, neutral perspective.

We include one round of revision in case there’s something you’d like changed or if we’ve misunderstood any part of your input. If we made an error, we’ll always correct it free of charge.

Currently, our service is focused on England, where the expectations for home education reports are relatively consistent. If you’re based elsewhere, feel free to get in touch — we may still be able to help.
